Security Lighting

Night time deterrent

Security Lighting

Security lighting can substantially enhance the protection of your business premises, staff and goods. As well as an alert for potential intruders, lighting activated by movement will illuminate access areas and car parks to make staff and visitors feel more secure.

Security lighting can be set to permanently light a specific area or be operated by movement detectors, both acting as a strong deterrent to intrusion, disturbance or damage. From building site floodlighting triggered by intruder alarm activation to a lighting system integrated with your external CCTV, there is a great variety of lighting you can install on site.

Lighting is a powerful deterrent and can be used in many different ways to suit your site’s requirements. One size doesn’t fit all and that’s why it’s important to have a deeper insight of your business’ needs through a precise site assessment from one of our experienced surveyors.

The design and installation of security lighting that meets all the highest requirements established by regulations is essential. That is why at Tindall Security, we are members of the Electrical Contractors Association and our fully skilled TBB Group Engineers work to current industry regulations.

Currently, there are four different types of security lighting you can have on site:

Continuous lighting, which can be used as a barrier light. This can be highly effective when placed to light boundaries around the facility and approaches to the site. Creating this barrier can work as both a visual and psychological deterrent, as it makes it difficult for potential intruders to see the inside of the protected area. They can also be used to constantly light up parking areas, storage lots and other areas that require security;

Stand-by lighting, which is designed as a supplementary source of light. This lighting is activated when continuous lighting is inoperative or when extra lighting is needed;

Portable lighting, which is normally manually operated and can be move site wherever extra lighting is needed, such as construction sites;

Emergency lighting, which can be used during power failures or during emergencies that may result in continuous lighting being inoperative. Emergency lighting uses a gas powered energy or batteries to function.
